Leichte Radschlepper Laffly W15T(f) Alte, or Laffly W15T gepanzerte
A wheeled light armoured reconnaissance and artillery tractor. Based on the chassis of captured French light artillery tractors, with an armoured hull built in German workshops such as that of Baukommando Becker.
The vehicle served in Schnelle Brigade West and later 21st Panzer Division in Northern France. The Leichte Radschlepper was similar in size to Sd.kfz. 250, and would likely serve in a similar role.
The truck's six road wheels are supplemented with four smaller wheels that prevent grounding and ditching. One early variant of the vehicle removed one of the rear axles despite using the same mudguard arrangement. This was most likely an attempt to lose some weight from the overladen design. It is unlikely that this variant was based on the V15T, as the wheelbase doesn't match that chassis.
The original Laffly W15T was intended as a tow vehicle for the 47mm APX anti-tank gun, though the German armouring of the hull probably made this untenable. This model is the initial design of the hull, later produced hulls were simplified in a similar manner to the later versions of Sd.kfz. 251.
Options for both 6 wheel and 4 wheel versions. 28mm & 20mm scale versions have rear doors that can be modeled open or closed
